Summer Fun is Here!!

Summer finally arrived to Idaho about a week and a half ago and we are in full summer mode!  I love warm weather and just being able to enjoy the sunshine and since nice weather can be hard to come by here we have to seize the moment and take advantage of it!  I made a "Summer Fun Checklist" with lots of fun things to do and keep us busy like find a new park, play in the backyard pool, walks, picnics, etc.  We've already crossed off 8 things off our list!  Love, love this time of the year.

One thing that's added to our backyard fun is our "new to us" swing set.  It belonged to Tyson at Steve's parents' house but he doesn't play with it very much and with them moving, it came to live at our house.  We had been looking on craigslist to hopefully find a basic set like this so we are so excited and the kids have played on it everyday since (Steve had it set up in the backyard when the kids and I got home from our trip to AZ.  An awesome surprise for them!!)  We changed a few things like adding the green swinging bar and now a yellow bucket-type swing for Abby.  Love that they have this to play with.

We also got to have a super fun weekend in Pocatello last weekend.  We were supposed to have a backyard campout but it was super windy so we had to have it indoors.  We still had hot dogs and smores (thanks to the stove!) and all slept in the family room.  On Saturday we got to go to Ross Park Pool with Angie and Tyson.  It had a great kids area and lazy river and we all had so much fun.  We were there for 3 hours and were completely pooped afterwards.  Worn out kids (and parents) are a sign of lots of fun being had!
