We drove from Las Vegas to Pocatello last Saturday and it was a VERY long day. Nothing bad and the kids did really well actually but we were all tired and ready to be there (but so not looking forward to the cold, it made me want to cry)! We were able to spend a couple days with Steve's family before his dad had to go back to Nebraska and we had to come back on New Years Day. We got to open presents, celebrate Angie's birthday, hang out, and stay warm inside.
New Years' Eve we ate lots of food, played some games and watched the ball drop. We let the little boys stay up but Preston crashed 20 minutes before midnight. However, I had put Abby to bed but she woke up in time for midnight since she was fighting a cold and not feeling well. Steve had Preston asleep on his lap and I was holding Abby as she was trying to fall asleep as we rang in the new year and gave each other a kiss. We didn't have a big party or anything but it reminded me of what is really important, our little family, which I love so much!
At last our big trip came to an end and we had to head back home. The after vacation time is no fun with laundry, cleaning, and trying to get back into the swing of things.
