Spud day parade!

For the first time we went to the annual Spud Day Parade... yep, it's a thing.  It happens during the potato harvest every September in Shelley which is 20 minutes away.  It was a fun parade that was actually a lot longer than I thought it would be.  The kids got lots of candy and of course there were lots of trucks and tractors.  We felt very Idahoan!

Abby loved these cute ponies that carried tiny carts.
That's me sitting on a chair on the sidewalk.  This parade was crazy with everyone standing and inching more and more into the road to be closer.  Steve and the kids ended up standing along with everyone else the entire time practically in the middle of the road while I sat here.  We thought that was pretty dumb.

This was some kind of farm equipment (haven't learned all of those things yet)... the crazy part was that it was on so they had these people walking holding caution tape so that no one could get close.  It seemed super safe to me.
We had a good time at the parade and I think we would go again.  Right after they have a whole day of events, food vendors and booths at the park which we checked out but it was crazy busy and everything cost money so we took off pretty quickly.
