Steve's family traveled from Nebraska on Thursday, Dec. 8th. They had to drive 2 hours to Omaha and were delayed there 3 hours which made them miss their connection in Denver and have to get a much later one. They arrived in Salt Lake City at about midnight! They stayed there for the night and the next day got a late start and did some shopping and of course hit bad weather and didn't get here until about 6pm! They were exhausted!! Once again, so grateful for the effort that our families had to put in just to get here to be a part of Preston's baptism. All of us hung out that night and did some prep work for the next day.
After the baptism and luncheon were pretty much done we again got to hang out and relax. The kids played and played, some went shopping, we had pizza and played some Uno. It was a really great day!

On Sunday we hung out for a bit that morning, had leftover sandwiches (we had tons leftover!) for lunch and headed to church at 1pm, just for sacrament meeting. It was great to go with both sets of parents! My parents finished getting ready and I drove them to the airport that afternoon. Later, Preston, Abby and Tyson got to go with Grammy and Papa to their hotel to go swimming which they loved! We relaxed the rest of the night and let the kids play their hearts out. We had to say goodbye to Steve's family that night when they went back to the hotel. Always hard to say goodbye.
Monday morning was rough! All of our families were gone, we were all exhausted from our whirlwind weekend and it was back to work and school for Steve and the kids.
I was worried how the weekend would go with both of our families and being a hostess to everyone but it went even better than I had expected and I was so pleased. My heart was full of gratitude for these amazing families we have been blessed with.
