We headed up to Rexburg last Saturday to go bowling. Preston remembered going bowling almost a year ago so it was fun to take him again. He had so much fun. We were driving around town before heading home and Steve and I were talking about how pretty the Rexburg Temple looked up on the hill. Preston overheard and asked if we could drive up close to it. We said of course and drove right up to it and around it. We were talking about how pretty it is and how we want to go inside. We told Preston that that is Jesus's house and then Steve told him, "Did you know that Jesus comes to visit this temple sometimes? What would you do if you saw Jesus?" Preston then answered in the sweetest voice, "I would give him a hug." I'm not going to lie, it brought sweet tears to my eyes. Steve had thrown that question out there just to see what he would say and he gave the perfect answer. We try to teach our crazy boy about Jesus, the church and read scriptures but we never really know how much really sinks in, so we love those redeeming moments. We must be doing something right!
