We had a great 4th of July! We woke up early and drove down to Pocatello to spend the day with Steve's family. We went to the parade, played at their house, had a bbq at Grandma Chandler's, did our own fireworks, and then got to see the big fireworks. It was a busy, fun day!

| Abby loves her aunt Angie! They were walking by all the people before the parade and Abby was waving to everyone. |

| We've been meaning to take this picture since Abby was born. Steve parents live on Abby Road but since they are moving at the end of the month (super sad face) we needed to finally take a picture of Abby in front of her sign. |

We went to a new place to watch the fireworks, a church by Aunt Bev's house. We got there about a half an hour early and waited but then the fireworks were delayed because of high winds. Preston fell asleep at about 9:45 and we waited and waited in the wind. Abby on the other hand was wide awake and running and dancing around. After about 45 minutes we decided to go to Aunt Bev's house and see if we could see them from her backyard. The fireworks started at about 11:05pm and we had a really nice view. Abby of course crashed about a minute after they started. We didn't get back to Steve's parents' house until midnight: long day!

We thankfully were already planning on staying the night Thursday so we didn't have to drive home late. We hung out on Friday and let the kids just play and play and had some lunch at the park. We were able to go as a big group to see Despicable Me 2 (Grandma Chandler was able to babysit Abby since she still doesn't like sit still at the movies). It was fun to go all together except the fact that about 20 minutes before the end there was a brief storm and a power glitch. We were told that it would turn on in a few minutes but after over 45 minutes, no further communication from the staff, and two very tired and done boys we got a refund and left. It was pretty frustrating to have two nights in a row that had weather caused delays (a reminder of one the reasons we don't love living here). Other than that we really had a lot of fun with the family and with Steve's dad since the next time we see him it will be when he comes back to help with their move. Definitely trying to squeeze in as much family time as we can (considering we drive back for Sunday dinner which meant I had driven to Pocatello 3 times within a week!).
