Birthday weekend!

Last weekend was a busy one at our house: Abby's birthday on Friday, Steve's birthday on Saturday, and Easter on Sunday.  Abby had a great third birthday.  We made cupcakes in the morning and took some to Steve's work to share with his co-workers.  He came home for lunch so Abby could open her presents and she spent the afternoon playing with them.  When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she said mac & cheese.  We headed to Red Robin with a gift card, which was awesome because it satisfied one of my cravings too.  After that we spent the evening walking the mall and letting the kids play.  Great day!

Our Abby Jean is such a joy in our family and we can't believe she is 3!!  Where did the time go?!  She is our happy, silly, sometimes sassy little girl.  Her likes: all things pink and purple, all things "Frozen", playing and laughing with her big brother, checking on Baby Sprite, coloring, watercolors, and stickers.  Her favorite thing in the world is her purse.  She has it filled with all sorts of things including her wallet, keys, and phone, and some jewelry.  She takes it everywhere we go and always needs to know where it is.  So funny because we did not prompt this at all.  She definitely has a sassy side and can have her tantrum moments and really doesn't want to nap anymore even though she still needs to occasionally.  She is such a talker and we can almost always understand her.  She says the most random things sometimes like "silly goose", "good idea?". We love her so very much!

Steve's birthday was a great one too.  He didn't have to work which was so, so nice.  He even spent the morning of his birthday cleaning the church and then helping someone in our ward move.  After some Easter fun and a nap for him, we were able to go out on a date.  We went to dinner to a new, local sandwich place and then saw Captain America.  A great way to top off his birthday!
