It really was fun to combine so many fun celebrations in one weekend. We like to do the Easter bunny stuff on Saturday to keep the Sabbath focused on the Savior. On Saturday morning I took the kids to one of the local Easter egg hunts at a park near by. I was so glad that it was sunny, windless day since the day before was cloudy and super windy. The kids were super excited and it was so much fun. They did a great job and of course it was over in like 3 minutes. The city of Ammon firefighters were running the event and had all of their firetrucks there. Then the kids got to play on the playground which is a treat because the weather has been so hit and miss lately.
When Steve came home he took the kids to pick up some lunch and what do you know, the Easter bunny came to our house while they were gone! The kids were so excited to find their Easter baskets and eggs all over the house. We spent the afternoon playing with their new sidewalk chalk, coloring books, and balls outside in the sunshine which felt great. The kids had a fun Easter and we had a relaxed Easter Sunday at home with a traditional ham dinner. The kids were so tired from all of the fun that we sent them to bed at 7pm that night!
