Our Kaley Mae is 6 months old!! Wow! Can't believe it's been half a year already. Love, love this sweet girl. I think she's getting happier every month which is nice! She loves to smile at us and let out some great giggles every once in awhile. She's such a chubby little girl with a big head and crazy old man hair with long stringy pieces and bald spots and beautiful blue eyes. She still would love to have my undivided attention at all times and let's us know but she's learning that can't happen. She developed some bad sleeping habits from all of the traveling we did over the holidays so we've had to have some tough love and let her cry in her bed a little to get her onto a regular bedtime and a normal schedule in the day. My good night sleeper has only slept through the night once in the past 6 weeks, unfortunately. I'm trying to work on that, but don't really want to let her cry in the middle of the night and risk waking everyone else up. We'll see.
Likes:
- Looking and grabbing faces.
- Watching her crazy brother and sister.
- Rolling on the floor.
- Chewing on her hands like crazy.
- Baths, getting changed, and being undressed.
- Her new exer-saucer (got a great deal on a practically new used one from craigslist).
- Sitting in her high chair and being able to be a part of things.
- Playing with toys and chewing on them.
- When someone sings to her.
Dislikes:
- Being left alone.
- Being too tired and hungry.
- Sometimes the car.
- Her teeth that are trying to come. No sign of them yet, but they bother and hurt her sometimes making her fussy and sad.
New:
- Rolling. She was only rolling once from tummy to back but while we were in AZ she mastered rolling from back to tummy. Now she's rolling all over, although she really only rolls towards her left shoulder and gets upset when she gets stuck up against the couch or other things.
- Starting solids. She started on rice cereal this week. She is happy to eat and loves to use her hands which means it's very messy! Up next is introducing some veggies and fruit.
- Playing in her exer-saucer.
- Got to go to kindergarten with Preston because he wanted to show her off for show and tell. Preston was so cute telling his class about her.
