Birthday weekend!!

We had our big birthday weekend with Abby and Steve's birthdays right in a row.  It is so fun to have these two birthdays together and makes the celebrations seem more fun.  First up... Abby is 4!!!  This sweet girl has been so excited about her birthday on the 18th.  She got to take treats for her birthday to dance class and preschool leading up to her big day which was so fun for her.

On her birthday she woke up to a few decorations around the house (thank you dollar store!) and we had pink pancakes.  We opened presents and she was so dang excited.  We got to face time with Steve's family so they could see her open their presents.  Her biggest gift was a new bike from us!  She's had the same used (got on facebook for $10!) tricycle that is just falling apart and she is getting too big for.  This is her first big girl bike and she was so excited!

After letting her play with her gifts for awhile we got some McDonald's for lunch and headed to a park to play.  So glad it was such a nice day.  We did some browsing and a little shopping before heading home to hang out and play.  For dinner we had Abby's favorite: mac & cheese with hot dogs in it.  We sang happy birthday to her with a bright pink cake!  I think our girl had a great day!

It's hard to believe that our Abby Jean is 4 already... that just sounds old!  The thought I keep having about her over and over is how happy I am that she is in our family.  I really can't imagine life without her.  A little bit about Abby, her favorites: pink, purple, purses, bag, boxes, anything she can put stuff in and carry around, Team UmiZoomi (show), princesses, playing in dirt, helping mommy cook (especially the stirring), preschool, blankets, dancing, and playing the piano.  Dislikes: the lawn mowers, having to take the occasional nap, and eating a lot at meal times (she's kind of picky!).  Abby is such a fun, sweet, silly girl.  She can write her name, knows her letters and a lot of the sounds.  She loves to color and cut and play outside.  Thanks to her big brother and daddy she knows A LOT about Star Wars and loves to play with her brother all the time.  Our favorite thing to say to eachother is "I love you!" "No, I love you!" "No you!" "No you!!" back and forth.  I love this girl so much and kind of want to just freeze time with her!
Abby all decked out On Sunday in the head to toe outfit Angie got her for her birthday.  She looked so pretty and like such a big girl!
