Preston had his first Pine Wood Derby with cub scouts. He was so excited about it. Steve got the help from someone in the ward, Varcel Huntsman, to cut the wood since we don't have the right tools. Preston and Steve had fun picking out colors and designs for it and went with a "silver shark" theme. This year was definitely a learning year and we have a much better idea of what to do with design and weights, etc.
That night we all got to go and cheer him on. He had so much fun and was a great sport even though his car came in 3rd for pretty much every race. Scouts is a whole new world for us and is quite confusing, but we're glad to see Preston excited about being a part of it.
