After getting settled in we headed to get some dinner and then to a fun center to let the kids run around a play. They had so much fun but were just as excited to go back to the room to take a bath in the big bath tub, lol. We put the kids to bed in the front room, Preston on the sofa bed and Abby in the pack n' play, but of course Abby would not go to sleep and wouldn't stop talking to Preston and yelling his name. Finally Steve rolled her bed into the bathroom so she could be by herself and she fell asleep instantly, silly girl. Steve and I were able to hook up the laptop to the tv and watch netflix in bed and relax, so nice!
After breakfast and swimming at the hotel, we got all cleaned up and packed up (the kids even got to watch tv while taking a bath, told you, living in luxury!), we went on a drive up the Logan Canyon. We already thought Logan was pretty, but this drive was just breathtaking! The falls leaves were so vibrant on all of the mountains that each view looked like a postcard. We stopped and walked around the river a little bit and then walked around some caves. Our drive took us all the way to Bear Lake... that water is so beautiful! We ended up in Garden City and had some lunch at a little local place and the kids got to play outside before heading back.

We then went to Wellsville to the American West Heritage Center for their fall festival. They had so many fun things: old barns and tractors, pony rides, train rides, corn maze, straw maze, jumping castles, animals, wagon rides, and a giant slide. Of course the kids loved the giant slide and the train. It was a little cool and windy but thankfully the sun was shining. We were finally done at about 6pm and both kids were crying because they were tired but upset because they didn't want to go home... the definition of a successful trip!

We grabbed dinner before heading home, all exhausted. We made one last stop in Preston, Idaho to get a picture of the Prestons together. The kids fell asleep the rest of the way and we finally got home at 9:30pm. It was a short little trip but we had such a great time and it was just the break we were needing!
