Yep, that's right Steve had his second kidney stone in 6 weeks. The last time he was in the hospital they had told him he had a second kidney stone that could come at any time. And that time came on Friday morning. He woke up at 5:30am in lots of pain. He really didn't want to miss work so he fought the pain and tried to not take medicine and then by the time he did the pain was too much and after a few hours we decided to take him to the ER at 12:30. The kids and I took him in until he got checked in and then I dropped the kids off at a friends' house (the same friend that watched the kids last time, I swear it was like total deja-vu!) I went back to the hospital and found Steve in a dark hospital room hooked up to an IV. Apparently when they were first getting him hooked up and they asked what his pain level was on a scale of 1-10, he yelled "4,000!!!" They drugged him up good and was snoring! We saw a couple doctors that didn't tell us anything we didn't know and then they sent us home with prescriptions and orders for us to return if it got worse. Steve then spent the next 2 and half days in bed, medicated. He still hasn't passed the stone yet but at least he's not in pain anymore. At least with this adventure at the ER didn't end with selling the salons and me running a half marathon the next day.
Ok, now for some pictures of our fun. First, pics from swim lessons. On the last day the kids get to jump off the jumping board. Preston was kind of nervous but right after he did it he said, "That was awesome!" And even Abby did it!
Rexburg splash pad, a summer time staple with a picnic lunch, the carousel, and cotton candy. On this day they had their annual Celebrate Youth event. An event devoted to kids with everything free: jumping castles, lots and lots of games with prizes, free little backpacks, books, cotton candy, popcorn, sack lunches, and a firetruck and ambulance that the kids could get inside.
| Right before leaving the ladder firetruck sprayed the hose. Preston ran around in it, but he got upset that he so soaking wet. |
| My attempt at a selfie of us, haha. |
