Trip to AZ!

For Christmas my parents offered to fly the kids and I for a week in January, February or March.  Well last week was our week and we were so excited!  The kids had been counting down and we were so excited to spend some time outside in the sunshine.  The kids did great on the flight there and we finally made it there Sunday (Feb. 23rd) night.  We had a great week and love having my mom retired so we can spend so much time with her.  We were able to do a lot of fun things including: go to 3 different parks, play in the backyard a lot, make smores with an outdoor fire, go to Peter Piper Pizza, play at the mall and go to the Disney Store and Lego Store (two things we don't have here), go to the Sea Life Aquarium, kids go to The Lego Movie with my dad, my mom and I did lots of shopping and lots of time hanging out.  My only priority was to sit in the sunshine and I was able to do that a lot and the kids seemed to have the most fun playing in the sand and dirt (baths were a must!).  We were sad when the week came to an end but happy to some home to Steve who we all missed.  We're already looking forward to having my mom (and my dad for a little bit) come when Baby Sprite (that's baby's nickname) comes.

My amazing, wonderful husband had flowers delivered to me on Monday just because he missed me.  They were gorgeous, even more so than in the picture.  It was so, so sweet.
The Lego store was a highlight for these kiddos.  I splurged and let each kid get a little bucket of legos they got to pick.  Abby was so excited to get pinks and purples and Preston was excited for different colors like orange and lime green.

My mom then found a whole box of legos in the attic that haven't been touched in over 15 years.  They were so dusty and dirty and mixed in with melted crayon but P was in heaven.
The aquarium was Preston's pick.  He was so excited even though we went just a year ago.

We were joined by Katie and Juliet which was so nice to see them.  Juliet is just the right age to start enjoying places like that.
This is what Abby looked like 2 days in a row after coming home from playing at different parks.  She would fall asleep on the way home and after carrying her inside she would crash on the couch.  She NEVER does this at home!
Preston got to help my dad plant some veggies and seeds in the backyard. P loves that kind of thing and was an awesome helper.
After a really rainy Saturday the kids and my dad went out to check out the puddles and my dad helped Abby ride this little bike.  The pedals are still a bit tricky for her but she was so excited and proud of herself.
Fun times!!  Next up, our big ultrasound on Thursday... boy or girl???
