The Wilker Family Christmas Letter...

For the second year we are not sending out Christmas cards. :(  Makes me sad because I love to send and receive Christmas cards, but it's just a little too much for us to spend this year.  We are hopeful that we'll send out ones next year but I thought I would do my own Christmas letter anyway.

2014 has been quite the adventure for us but we feel so truly blessed.  Here's what we've been up to:

Steve: Spent just over half the year doing marketing for TxtWire utilizing texting for businesses.  He unexpectedly lost his job in August.  Since then he's had a few interviews but no new job quite yet.  He has come to love his calling as Elders' Quorum President and the service he gets to provide.  His loves (besides his family of course) include: Taco Bell, AZ D-Backs, and Mt. Dew.  He is already looking forward to the release of the new Star Wars movie on Dec. 18, 2015 (our 11th anniversary, haha!).

Amy: Spent about half of the year pregnant and felt pretty good besides just huge.  After a couple false alarms, my 3rd c-section and recovery went the better than expected.  It's been an adventure adjusting to being a mom of 3 and have been blessed to have Steve around to help! I also spent most of the year as a Sunday School teacher for the 14-17 year olds before getting released after baby came.  In my very little free time I enjoy sewing and crafting projects and catching up on my favorite shows.  My loves: Dr. Pepper, Oreos, sunshine, and kids that sleep until 7am.

Preston: Finished preschool (finally!) and started kindergarten.  We have been pleasantly surprised and he loves it and is doing really well!  He loves learning to read and coloring.  He's had fun doing t-ball, indoor soccer (with his Daddy as the coach), and swim lessons.  He is a great big brother!  His loves: playing outside no matter the weather, Star Wars, volcanoes, being Daddy's buddy, and just being silly.

Abby: Became a big sister and loves it!  Started preschool and loves every minute of it.  Loves to color, cut, glue, and do anything crafty.  Did swim lessons for the first time and started taking dance class that does tap and ballet.  She ended the year with her first broken bone, her collar bone, but has recovered faster than we every imagined.  Her loves: playing with her brother, Team Umizoomi, Mac & Cheese, and listening to Taylor Swift as loud as possible in the car!

Kaley: Has grown a lot since the beginning of the year in my tummy!  She made a healthy arrival into this world but doesn't always love it here.  She has been our fussiest baby which has been a challenge but we can't get enough kisses, squeezes and smiles.  We love her so much and love to watch her just grow and learn.  Her loves: watching her crazy siblings, kisses on her cheeks and neck, being naked, being rocked/bounced, and stretching and flexing her feet as far as possible.

What a crazy year... this life isn't always easy but we are grateful for the opportunity to grow closer to each other and the Lord.  We have, and are continuing to grow and learn so much.  2015 seems like it could be another crazy yet exciting year for us with the possibility moving (far away?!?) and a new job for Steve.  Through it all we are blessed with the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and the miraculous gift that he is to each of us and love this time of year that serves as a reminder of that.  Merry Christmas!
