Preston's #6!!

We celebrated Preston's birthday a couple days early here at home.  He was so excited!

Steve was (is) such a Star Wars fan that he bought tons and tons of Star Wars figures back when the new movies came out (before a wife, kids, and more financial responsibilities!).  He found this box of about 23 figures from Episode I that are worth less than what he bought them for.  He bravely gave them up for Preston's big birthday present.  Money-wise we weren't sure what we were going to do for his birthday so I was grateful that we found this and that Steve was willing to give them to him.

The morning of his birthday we headed to the airport at 4:30am to fly to Nebraska.  We had a short layover in Denver before getting to Omaha and then a 2 hour drive to the Wilkers'.  The kids did really well on the flight.  Kaley slept for the whole first one and was not so happy for the second but not horrible (then she cried for most of the drive, lol).  We were so excited to finally be in Nebraska with family and so fun that we got to celebrate Preston's birthday.  Angie did a great job putting together a volcano birthday party, per Preston's request.

Lava cupcakes!  Filled with fudge so if warmed up they would ooze hot fudge when you cut into them.  They were awesome!
