Moana Party!

A couple of months ago Abby started getting excited about her birthday and started talking about having a birthday party with friends.  We haven't really been big with friend parties but she hadn't ever had one before and she has a great group of little friends right now so it seemed like a good year to have it.  It was immediately decided that it would be a Moana party since our house has become nonstop Moana.  The movie, the soundtrack, we are all about it.  We decided to have it on Thursday, April 20th in the afternoon which was perfect since our weekends were busy.  She helped plan the activities and was so dang cute/sometimes annoying with how much she was looking forward to her party.

She helped me decorate and get the table all ready before she went to school and I had to bust my backside to finish everything and get the house cleaned up before the 3pm start time.  I was so glad that all of the girls we invited came: Emma Hadley, Savannah Lee, Ellie Seaver, Becca Wood, Sariah Gerritson, and Kamberlee Pack.  We started with some cute snacks (fruit skewers, goldfish, and chips), played a game of "pin the shiny on Tamatoa," decorated foam frames with foam stickers, decorated Heart of Te Fiti cookies, sang to Abby and then she opened her presents and we handed out bubbles with a tag that said "You're Welcome!".  We ended up having a lot of time left over but the girls had fun dancing to Moana music and playing with her new toys.

My Abby was beaming the whole time!  It went so great and she had so much fun!

I absolutely love this picture of my sweet girl!  She insisted on wearing her bright floral "Moana" dress and have curly hair like her.  She looked great with her lei (each girl got one too!).
