Adventures...

Something we have learned about ourselves from living here (yes, something we can actually thank Idaho for, lol!) is that we like to be on the go.  We like to find things that are going on around town and get out of the house.  I love this!  We weren't as much like this in AZ, probably because Preston was still kind of small.  He is a little guy that always has to be on the go, so a lot of it is finding things to keep him busy and out of trouble.  I think it also comes from the fact that when we moved here we didn't know what there was to do and hadn't made any friends so we started exploring and found stuff to do. We've definitely decided that we like getting out and doing things and would still do that even if we ever moved somewhere else.

Last Saturday we had no plans so we decided to go on some adventures.  First stop was Driggs a tiny town that had a display of 5 warbirds at their little airport.  Preston loved this and it made me miss the awesome Pima Air and Space Museum we lived just minutes away from in Tucson.  It was fun to look at the planes and loved that it was free.

We then drove through Viktor, another small town, before just driving.  We realized we were on a different road than we thought and were on our way to Jackson Hole, so we kept driving that way.  Our adventures took us into Wyoming to Teton Village.  We thought it was another cute small town, but no, it was just a huge ski resort.  We felt a little out of place since we were not vacationing there (nor could we afford to) but walked around anyway and found a playground and water fountains for the kids to play in.

Love this picture.  Preston was helping Abby get into the water.  He loves her so much and always wants to help Abby, whether she wants his help or not.

After a long time there, we continued on our adventures (as Preston kept saying) and drove a different way to head back into Idaho and home through Swan Valley.  They were really pretty drives through the mountains but drives we would never attempt in the winter because that would be scary!  Glad we got to do it now.  We even pulled off the side of the road and played in nature (as we told Preston), found a little creek, and just explored.  We were all tired from our long day of adventures but it was fun to do new things and see some of Idaho (and Wyoming) we hadn't seen before.
