Part 2: Las Vegas

We drove the 4 and a half hours to Las Vegas.  This was by far the best leg of our trip... the kids slept for about 2 hours and we didn't even need to turn on the dvd player, which says a lot.  The real reason for this big giant trip was so that Steve could attend the national Fantastic Sams convention in Vegas.  We figured if we were already going to Las Vegas why not just make it a big trip and hit up Arizona first.  We got to stay with my brother and sister-in-law and their 2 cute kiddos, which was great and made for a crazy house!  It also worked out perfectly because that Saturday they went to the temple to have their adopted girl, Chelsea, sealed to them.  The timing was great and we got to spend more time with family that also came into town.  (I'll do a separate post on that later.)

Steve's convention was Tuesday-Thursday, so it was Aranne and I trying to do some fun stuff with the kids.  With an almost 4 year old, almost 3 year old, a 17 month old, and a 7 month old, it was quite the task!  It was fun to watch the kids together and even though Blake and Preston were so excited to play together there was quite a bit of arguing and having a hard time sharing.  We decided that Blake and Preston have the exact same active, busy personality which made it hard for them to get along because they always wanted the same toys or to do the same thing at the same time.  We had fun going to lots of parks and doing some fun things. They had great parks there and every single one had a splash pad that was still on, which Preston LOVED!! It was definitely hot but I knew I had to enjoy it because we'll be headed into winter sooner than I would like.  It felt like we got a couple bonus weeks of summer!
The drive there.. a heavenly sight.
We drove on the bridge over the Hoover Dam first, but back tracked so Preston could see the "bam."

Actually caught a moment they were getting along!!
Chelsea is an absolute doll!
We had a family night at the temple to get Blake ready to go inside for Chelsea's sealing... not sure how much the kids got out of it, but we tried!

Next up: Family weekend and a forever family...
