Preston's birthday!

My baby boy turned 5 on November 26th!!  Unbelievable!  Not sure where these five years have gone and can't believe that I've now been a mom for that long.  I think Preston had a great birthday!  The day before his big day we were able to invite a few of his little friends over.  Not a birthday so much as a birthday play date.  We had pizza, decorated cup cakes and just let the kids play.  It was a fun time for everyone and just the right size activity for his age.  The next day for his birthday we decorated his door with 5's and balloons.  I got to take him to Toys R' Us to use his birthday coupon and a little birthday money and he got a crown and balloon.  He was so excited!  We let him open his presents while Steve was home for lunch and then we spent the afternoon having popcorn and watching Planes which was one of his gifts.  That night we went to his favorite place, Leo's Place.  The kids played and played and we played some games.  It was a late night of fun (especially after we got called to go see the Stake President at the last minute at 8:40pm so Steve could be called to be the new Elder's Quorum President... something he's a little nervous about especially with stresses ahead).  Preston kept saying all day how much fun he was having and that it was the best birthday ever.  I believed him!  So much fun to help kids celebrate their big days.
