This boy of mine will be six in just 3 days!! Wow, he is 6! We'll be on our way to Nebraska for Thanksgiving on his birthday so I wanted to do a special post just for him now. This is his school picture that was taken about 2 months ago. I am so pleased with how it turned out! He continues to love school and is still so excited to go every day. We had his parent teacher conference a couple of weeks ago and she said he is doing great. He's a pretty good boy only getting in trouble for normal kid things like talking a little too much and running instead of walking... I'm ok with that and expected it! She said he's really smart and knows his stuff and is in the top of the class. He's doing great learning to read and learning more and more sight words and starting to sound them out. He is one of the first 5 kids in his class to bring home books to start reading. So proud of him and love how great school is going for him (since we weren't really sure what to expect with him and school!).
If I could describe Preston it would be crazy, busy, active, funny, sweet, stubborn, persistent, energetic, creative, imaginative, silly, smart, curious, loud, and so much more. He always challenges us in our parenting but we love this kid so much. Much more often he's acting like such a big boy. He's an awesome big brother and loves both of his sisters so much and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He and his daddy are best buds and Preston loves being just like his daddy (more and more we see that these two are exactly alike in so many ways, a little scary sometimes how alike!). His favorite things right now are volcanoes, Batman, Star Wars, science shows (space, weather, volcanoes, etc.), super heroes, playing outside no matter the weather, eating snacks, making noise or singing songs constantly (we have always said he has his own sound track.), and playing with Abby nonstop. We love our Preston!!
