The Twins are 1!!

Riley and Maddie are 1!  Their big birthday was on June 13th.  It felt so unreal to have them have been in our family for one year.  Honestly most of the first year feels like  a blur and I'm not sure I even remember all of it!  Their first birthday was a big milestone for them but even more so it felt like a big accomplishment for Steve and I and really the whole family.  That was a crazy year that took a lot of work and we did it together as a family.

We love these sweet babies so much! They are happy babies and content to just play, with exception to when strangers try to talk to them or hold them.  They have major stranger danger and will just cry! No walking at this point but will pull up to standing on things.  They both have a bunch of teeth that I can't always keep track of.  They are starting to thin out a little as they grow a little taller.  They smile and laugh a ton and their fun personalities are starting to shine through.  They are great eaters and great sleepers, sleeping through the night and taking two good naps which is transitioning to one great nap.  These babies are SO loved by their siblings.  The novelty of two babies never wore off and the kids still ask to hold the babies and want to play and wrestle with them.  It's so fun to watch the love of siblings.  I'm excited to watch the relationship between the two of them grow and progress.

We didn't have any big plans for their big day since they are just 1.  Pretty basic day and then we used some gift cards and headed to Olive Garden for Dinner.  Like I said it felt like we all deserved a party and presents!

Preston gave them a present of a couple of his stuff animals, all by himself!

My big girls!

Our best attempt at a family of 7 selfie!

We gave the girls ride along toys for their birthday.  They have plenty of little toys and thought these would be fun.  They love to push them around and sit and be pushed by big brother.

Our twins got to have TWIN-kies as their birthday cake.  Maddie got right into it and demolished it, but Riley was a little more careful.  Maddie is in the pink, Riley in purple.
