10 : The number of times we complained about the weather in Idaho (ok, I'm sure it was more.) Number of 12 hour+ work days Steve had (once again, it was definitely more!).
9 : Trips to the park in the summer (I'm sure more again, we were at the park probably twice a week).
8 : Abby turned 8 months old by the end of 2011.
7 : Years of marriage we celebrated in December.
6 : Number of grandkids my parents have with Abby and Kaia being added to the bunch, both in April.
5 : First five months of 2011 were winter. Probably 5 trips to the splash park in Rexburg in the summer, love that place.
4 : We became a family of 4! Trips we made to AZ (Feb., Sept., Nov., Dec.).
3 : Preston turned 3 in Nov. Three visits to Salt Lake City (May, Oct., Dec.). Only 3 months of real summer, beautiful but too short.
2 : Steve opened/took over 2 Fantastic Sams Hair Salons.
1 : Beautiful baby girl welcomed in April. One trip to Boise in March and one trip to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.
0 : Times we had to move this year!
We had a great 2011: we were able to go to fun places, do fun things, visit family, and enjoy being at home. We have two beautiful, very healthy children, good relationships with our families, trying hard to make more friends, a warm comfortable place to live, a job for Steve that he enjoys (minus the drama of stylists) and I get to be a full time stay at home mom, the best job ever.
Not sure what 2012 has in store for us but we're looking forward to more fun little trips, exploring more of Idaho, watching our kids get older and do new things, a new niece or nephew in the beginning of August (congrats to Nate and Katie!) and maybe one for Dan and Aranne who are hoping to adopt #2. Hopefully we have lots of good things coming our way!
