After breakfast in the morning and hanging out in our room for a bit we headed to Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival (the reason for our trip!). We found out that the children's garden we've always gone to is closed because they built a huge indoor addition that opens in 2 weeks (!!!). We were bummed that we couldn't go to that part and that we were this close to the new one opening. We debated about going to the main gardens, we weren't sure if it would be worth it but we decided to go for it anyways. This is the first time we've gone to Thanksgiving Point during the actual festival as opposed to a week or two later. It was BUSY!! It was a little crazy to park and get inside but once inside, it's so large that everyone can spread out. As part of the event they had performers, food vendors and booths, as well as a children's area with jumping castles, games, and craft area. It was beautiful as always and the tulips really are amazing. We had a great time and were there for quite awhile and of course were all exhausted, hot and dirty by the time we were done. Abby was asleep within minutes and Preston soon after and then we headed back.

| I couldn't help it and had to indulge in some funnel cake. |
| Dancing to the music! |
It was way too quick of a trip for me but we all agreed that it was a great little trip. Unfortunately, the kids and I had all been fighting the same cold for a few days but then I got hit hard on Saturday and I'm super sick today (Sunday) and stayed home from church while Steve took the kids... first time that has happened in a LONG time! Hoping it passes quickly!
