4th of July!

Our day started out slow with the boys finishing their camping adventure and the girls just at home.  After they got home and got cleaned up, we had some hamburgers for lunch and let the kids play in the water in the backyard.  We had gotten free tickets to the Chukar's game (the minor league team here) so we headed there around 5:30pm.  It was busier than the games we've been to in the past but the kids like to run around and play the whole time.  We thought that we'd be able to stay there after the game and wait for the big fireworks since we were close to that area but nope, they made everyone leave.  By then it was already 9pm and everyone had already staked out their spots and parking was crazy.  We debated what to do since we've never seen those fireworks close up but they didn't start until 10pm and the kids were always exhausted and I was feeling very pregnant.  We decided instead to go buy some of our own little fireworks and just do them at our house.  This actually worked out great because our neighbor had some family that was doing some of their own and then people just one street over were doing big fireworks (the kind that are illegal here!).  So we ended up with quite a show and fun to be around our neighbors.  Abby had fallen asleep in the car and just sat with me for the first little bit but then perked up and got in on the action.
Abby was showing off some tricks at the baseball game.  I said that it was the start of her break dancing career!
The sad faces were because Preston had just gotten a scrape on his elbow.
Don't like selfies at all but wanted proof that I was a part of things too!  Abby was still waking up and holding her sparklers.

We had gotten a bunch of really old sparklers from Grandma Chandlers garage... and we used all of them!
We had a hard time getting them lit so Steve ended up just sticking them in the grass.
