Last Saturday was my baby shower in Tucson. It was thrown by my very nice visiting teacher and was a really great way to get to know some of the sisters in my ward a little better. It was lots of fun and Preston came out with lots and lots of clothes! I wasn't very good at taking pictures, but this is a picture of the cake that was very yummy!

Tuesday was the big election and Steve and I were very excited to go out and vote. We both feel very strongly that voting is not only our right but our duty as we are lucky enough to live in this free country, and we felt great wearing our "I voted!" stickers all day. Although we are now having to get used to the idea of President Obama, we were very excited and shocked by the passing of Prop. 102 here and Prop. 8 in California. Good job to all those who supported and went out and voted for those very important decisions.

Baby preparations around the house have been kicked into full gear. Between purchasing the last few items that we hadn't received as gifts and washing all the clothes, blankets, etc. I've been keeping pretty busy around here!
Friday we drove up to Phoenix for the long awaited Carrie Underwood concert!! And yes, this is our second Carrie Underwood concert this year. What can we say, we're big fans! We were very excited to see her in Phoenix and we quickly decided that every aspect of it was better than the one in Tucson, except for our seats and the drive. It, of course, was awesome!! The opening act was Little Big Town which we weren't that impressed with but still fun to see someone new. Carrie Underwood put on a great show and it was tons of fun. We were a little nervous that Preston might get a little too excited by the loud music and decide to make an early appearance, but thankfully Carrie Underwood didn't have to help deliver our baby or anything like that (although that would have made a good story!). We topped off the night with a little late night Denny's because we're thinking we won't be able to do that quite so easily in just a few weeks. It was a great night all around!
Countdown to her coming on stage. Steve was very sad he didn't actually get a picture of the "1".
Saturday we had the opportunity to go to the temple with my parents as part of a family temple trip in support of my brother Dan and his wife Aranne as they patiently wait to adopt a little one of their own. We were very glad that we could participate in that and it always feels so good to go to the temple. We're hoping that their baby will come to them soon.
That pretty much sums up the busy week! Wow, that was a lot to read so congrats to you if you made it through it all! I'm pretty sure that the upcoming week will be just as busy as we are quickly running out of time to get some things done before this little boy decides to come!
