4th Fun!

I love the 4th of July!  It's always filled with family, fun, and fireworks and is always a great reminder of the amazing country we live in.  Just like last year, Fantastic Sams had a float in the Idaho Falls Parade.  This of course meant some craziness and a busy, busy Steve.  We had the trailer parked in our garage for a couple days while he worked on it and of course he was up until 2am the night before finishing it up.  Steve's parents, John and Elaine, and Angie and Tyson came up Tuesday evening and we got to hang out and they got to stay here so they'd be ready for the parade bright and early.  We even did a few fireworks of our own that night.
While Steve was decorating the trailer, Preston decorated his car Carson.  He was working really hard and really wanted Carson to be in the parade too.
The boys were playing in the water and sandbox and Abby couldn't stay away.  She was having a blast!

John and Elaine drove the float while Steve got to be Fantastic Fuzzy again, the giant orange bear.  It was just Angie and I and the kids that watched the fun parade.  We got to see some fun floats but our favorite was definitely the Fantastic Sams one!!  We got so excited!

We headed back to our house afterwards for fried chicken, sprinklers, and a few naps.  We drove down to Pocatello that evening to hang out a little bit and go to Aunt Bev's house to watch the fireworks.  She lives close to the fairgrounds so we got to enjoy them from her front yard.

Abby had a taste of a chocolate covered strawberry with blue sprinkles, she liked it all but the strawberry, haha.

We had to wait out the traffic and then drive the hour home, it was 1am by the time we got here.  We were exhausted!!  Such a fun day but so tiring too.  We spent yesterday doing nothing which was great and just the recovery we needed.
