Last night I was able to get 6 hours of sleep IN A ROW! A very exciting thing that hopefully continues and wasn't just a fluke. So I'm feeling good and ready to welcome 2009 with open arms, but I also can't help but to reflect on all of the events of 2008. Here's 2008 for us in a nutshell:
January: Okay...nothing major, still settling in to our new house.
February: A quick trip to Pocatello, Idaho for Steve's Grandma Chandler's 80th birthday with a big party and lots of family.
March: Steve graduated with his MBA, hooray! Welcomed a new nephew Tyson and found out we were expecting at the end of the month.
April: Another trip to Idaho for Tyson's blessing, celebrated Steve's birthday, and kept our bun in the oven a secret (not an easy thing to do!).
May: Announced our news to everyone, a baby was on the way! Steve's family came for a visit and wrapped up the month with a trip to Vegas to visit Dan & Aranne.
June: Ventured to Idaho once again for Grandma Wilker's funeral. Had fun starting to get baby items.
July: Celebrated my birthday and found out we had a boy on the way, just as Steve had predicted! Also welcomed another nephew, Benjamin.
August: Melted to death in the heat and humidity and went on our long awaited vacation to Denver to visit friends.
September: Had tons of fun in Vegas again, got the nursery painted and ready, had a visit from an old friend, and went to Tombstone with my parents.
October: Another fun-filled trip to Idaho and a surprise baby shower and super fun weekend with my family.
November: Became hugely pregnant, went to the Carrie Underwood concert, ended my working days at Golf N' Stuff, and of course welcomed our beautiful boy Preston Steven on November 26th!
December: Lots of fun with a newborn with wonderful help from my mom, celebrated our 4 year anniversary, and had our first Christmas as a family of 3!
What a year!! We are excited to see what the next year holds for our family and we will have a fun time finding out!

Six hours at only just over a month old!?! That's awesome! I hope it's not a fluke either. Sleep is a beautiful thing :) Happy New Year!
