That evening we were running errands and on the way home Preston just started crying and crying and all he would say was "Baby Abby," and "Baby sister." It was so weird but it was like he was looking for Abby and was really distraught that he couldn't find her. It was so sweet! Steve took him to Target to pick out his own "Baby Abby" that he could take care of now. They came home with a cute little doll that Preston instantly adopted. Baby Abby has her own blanket that he makes sure she has, her own bed she sleeps in, and Preston has even shared his juice and snacks with her. It is so sweet to watch him take care of his Abby and I think he's going to be a great big brother.
Steve made a sign for Abby's room, just like he did for Preston.

DARLING!!! what good parents you are to have gotten him a doll. i know a few dads who would NEVER let their son have a baby doll. I think it's swell!! so excited to see this new baby. we miss you guys. sarah and nate were just in town to visit and i always think of the good ol' time playing games until dark o'clock in the morning. good times!!!!
That is so sweet! I think it's awesome that you are getting Preston ready to be a big brother!
That is the cutest thing! You don't have to worry about Abby when she's a teenager. Preston's got her back :)
Your biggest challenge will be to keep him off her. :) He'll be a great big brother. I remember Tyson hated Regan for the first year but, then again, Tyson wasn't even 2 and didn't know which way was up! ha ha
