Sweet boy...

We have a pretty crazy little boy most of the time (as was demonstrated in church yesterday when I swear he didn't hold still or be quiet for even a second!). But Preston has these really great moments of sweetness. He has a ducky towel that we use for bathtime and when we get him all wrapped up he wants to just sit together on the couch or his rocking chair for a few minutes. I had to get up to let Jackie outside and this is how I found him.

We've also been working on helping Preston say prayers at night and at meal times. He just repeats the simple phrases we tell him, but it's so fun to hear him say it. He even knows how to start the prayer himself now. Sometimes he gets a little distracted or blesses Lightning McQueen and Mater instead of Mommy, but that's ok. I love being able to teach him things like that and hear his progress.

On a completely unrelated side note: We officially sold our house, it closed last Friday! We were able to short sale it, and just in the nick of time because our foreclosure date was Jan. 19th. It has been a long time coming with a lot of frustration with the bank along the way. We were very fortunate to have an awesome realtor who was willing to work really hard for us and do a lot of fighting with the bank on our behalf. We really think that if not for her, this would not have gotten done. It's such a blessing to be done with it. A short sale isn't fabulous but it sure beats a foreclosure. A little sad to officially say goodbye to our house and weird to know someone else will be living in our first home, but it is a relief to have it all be over with.
