Weekend in Pocatello!

We went to Pocatello, Idaho this past weekend for Steve's Grandma Chandler's 80th birthday party and family reunion. Steve's mom, Elaine, was in charge of the whole thing and had spent hours and hours making it a great event. It was good that we were there because we got to lend a helping hand to get everything set up and clean up afterwards. It was a great time for everyone and had everything including center-pieces, lunch, cake, all of Grandma Chandler's photo albums and pictures, and even a gift mattress set! (at times I wanted someone to get married so we could have a wedding reception all at the same time!) I also got to meet some of the cousins and family that I hadn't had the chance to meet yet, so that was great.

Here's Steve and his sisters Angie and Lisa waiting around for everyone else to get there.

This is the guest of honor, Grandma Chandler, and three of her children: Mary, Elaine, and Lewis.

We also took lots of pictures, including this one which was of all of the grandchildren (this doesn't even include the great-grand kids!)

The program started with a wonderful musical number by Uncle Lewis and my mother-in-law. It included personlized lyrics to the sone "Timeless to Me" from the musical Hairspray, a dance number, and ending with big kisses on the cheek.

We were so happy that we could be there to support Steve's mom in all of her work and most importantly to support Granma Chandler and show our love for her!
