Day 4, Idaho... Finally!

This was the last day of our trip that took us to our new home. We were getting pretty tired at this point but only had a few hours of driving left. My dad stayed in Salt Lake with my grandparents to hang out with them for a couple days before flying home. I am so thankful he made the trip with us, it was such a huge help. Of course it was tough to say goodbye to him too. It was such a weird feeling driving to Idaho. I even asked Steve that morning, are we really doing this?? The answer was yes, but it was surreal that after all the lead up, it was finally here, going to our new home. All I have to say is, don't make the pregnant lady who's full of hormones move out of state. I was a mess again that day and the box of tissues in my car was my best friend. Don't get me wrong, we're excited to be here and there are a lot of huge positives to making this move, like Steve's new career that he's excited about and me being able to be a stay at home mom, but all the changes are stressful and hard. It all kind of hit me that day.

We had to make a stop in Pocatello first and then a couple of stops in Idaho Falls and then we were able to get to our destination of Ammon, Idaho. Ammon is a town right next to Idaho Falls, it's pretty much connected, like Glendale to Phoenix only on a MUCH smaller scale. There is definitely a small town feel (at least small for us) but there is still all the major shopping, restaurants, etc. something we really liked about Idaho Falls. I've got my Target, Old Navy, and Olive Garden which have always been my requirements to moving!

We made it to our twin home that Steve had picked out for us. I had only seen pictures of it, so I was a little nervous but I absolutely love it!! It's cute and nice and surrounded by other town homes, houses, and apartments and super close to shopping, church and everything we need, which is so nice! My favorite parts are the big pantry, our own mailbox, large garage and the huge unfinished basement (so nice to stick all of our junk down there!). All of our stuff seems to be fitting in nicely, and even though the kitchen is smaller, the pantry more than makes up for it.

Master bedroom, big walk in closet on the right.
Hall bathroom, good size.

Basement, doesn't look as big in the picture, but plenty of space.

Backyard, kind of dark picture, sorry.
Front door and stairs to basement.

Our truck arrived that evening, so we only had one night of camping out in our house. It's amazing how good an air mattress can feel when you're exhausted!!
