Last Wednesday, Nov. 3rd we moved into our house. (It was three years to the day that we moved into our house in Tucson, funny coincidence.) Steve's Dad was here bright and early to get things started and later his uncle and a couple of cousins as well as his sister Lisa came to help unload the truck. We were worried that with so few people it would take all day, but it was all done in a few hours. Preston had fun running all around and up the truck ramp, although he was too nervous to go down it. Lots of hard work and somehow it looked like we had 10 times more stuff once we saw it all in the different rooms.
Unpacking has gone really well and we actually have most of it done, still need to hang things on the walls, but that will come. It's nice to have a kitchen again and food in our fridge and freezer, feels like we're getting back to normal life. We love having the basement, it just makes our closets and rooms so much less cluttered because we can store stuff down there. Random weirdness: We (I should say Steve and his dad) couldn't get our living room couch, which we don't have room for upstairs, down into the basement. It just wouldn't make the turn at the bottom of the stairs. Kind of frustrating but it's now in our garage waiting to be sold, probably to someone in the family. A few bucks doesn't hurt so we'll be ok!
This is how Preston unpacks his toys. He was so excited when we found all of his toys, it was like he was discovering old friends.
We had to make an emergency run to Toys 'R Us last week. Preston has become seriously attached to his umbrella stroller. In Tucson we let him push it around the house while we were finishing packing. Well here he wanted to do the same and we wouldn't let him. If we let him play with it outside last week all he wanted to do was bring it into the house and get VERY frustrated when he couldn't. Every time he even sees it folded up in the garage he loses it and has a fit when we don't let him play with it. I think it might be some emotional attachment thing in the midst of all this stress. It's a lot of change for this little guy. Since the only play strollers they make are pink, we got him a cheap shopping cart to give him something to push around. It seems to be working, although I still think we need to hide the stroller in the garage.

Very cute place!! I'm jealous! If we're ever out in Idaho, I'll have to give you guys a call. My sister and her family live out in Rexburg. How far away is Rexburg for you guys?
